storyteller, filmmaker, editor, sound designer

CA is a Black-Filipino-Italian-American filmmaker, sound designer, documentarian, and writer.

CA is the creator of a LATTO thought, a collection of audio documentaries that dismantles post-racial myths about mixed race identities through the lenses of history, science studies, and personal perspectives. His most recent documentary short film, Inhuman Figures: Robots, Clones and Aliens, collaborates with Prof. Michelle N. Huang (Northwestern University), connecting modern sci-fi tropes to their historical underpinnings extending from racist US ideology.

As a burgeoning writer / director, his first short film, Roano Moreno’s Colorful Canvases, won Best Chicago Ensemble at the Windy City Festival in 2019. His most recent work as a film editor, CASSANDRA, won Best Thriller and Best Editing at the Women in Horror Film Festival (2020).

CA is also a collaborator on the modding project, SKYWIND, serving as the lead writer and narrative designer for the Twin Lamps faction quest line—a narrative about enslavement, abolition, and race in the fictional Elder Scrolls universe originally created by Bethesda Game Studios.
